Introduction

In the 18th century, young European aristocrats crowned their education with a grand tour of Italy — Rome, Florence, Venice — in search of art, history, and refinement. This journey had a name: the Grand Tour. It is this tradition that inspires Rosanetur's Grand Tours — and no destination embodies it better than Italy itself.
This itinerary has been carefully planned to provide you with a unique travel experience, with all attractions and hotels handpicked. Our team has personally visited each of the places in this itinerary to ensure the standard of excellence that is the hallmark of Rosanetur.
Our goal is for you to have more time to explore, experience, and enjoy each place at a leisurely pace, without the typical rush of packed itineraries.
From Eternal Rome to the cradle of the Renaissance, from historic Venice to the elegance of Milan — and, at one of the highlights of the trip, the spectacular crossing of the Swiss Alps aboard the Bernina Express panoramic train, on a route classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, heading towards the most beautiful lakes in Italy.
Embark on this splendid journey, with top-notch accommodation and carefully chosen experiences that make this an unparalleled itinerary.
It will be a pleasure to take you to experience unforgettable days, with all the care, comfort, and safety characteristic of Rosanetur Groups.
NOTE: For this itinerary, spots will be even more limited, as the group will be small. Reserve your place in advance to be part of this splendid journey.

The rest of the day is free to recharge your energies or, if you feel up to it, take your first steps through the Italian capital and start to be enchanted.
Day 3: 16 May (Sunday) - Rome (City tour)
After breakfast, departure for a panoramic tour of Rome, the capital and largest city of Italy — a true open-air museum, where every corner holds centuries of history.
We will visit the Colosseum (external view), the most famous monument in Rome and the largest amphitheatre of the Roman world, stage of legendary spectacles of Antiquity, and the Roman Forum, symbol of Rome's power and center of social, religious, and political life of one of the most advanced civilizations in history.
We continue towards Piazza Venezia and, to finish, we visit the Fontana di Trevi — the most famous fountain in the world, where tradition dictates throwing a coin to ensure your return to Rome — as well as a panoramic view of the Spanish Steps and Piazza Navona.
After the visits, return to the hotel. Evening free.
Day 4: 17 May (Monday) - Rome (Vatican)
After breakfast, the day is dedicated to exploring the Vatican, the smallest country in the world and the heart of Christianity, accompanied by a local guide.
We will go to the monumental St. Peter's Square and visit the interior of the incomparable Vatican Museums, which house one of the most extraordinary collections of art ever formed by humanity, culminating in the Sistine Chapel, where Michelangelo painted his genius vision of Creation — a work before which words simply fail.
We will also visit the interior of the grand St. Peter's Basilica, the largest church in the world, which holds masterpieces such as Michelangelo's moving Pietà and Bernini's imposing baldachin.
Afternoon free for personal activities. Evening free.
Day 5: 18 May (Tuesday) - Rome / Florence
After breakfast, we head towards Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance and an extraordinary repository of art — the land of Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Giotto, Dante, and Machiavelli, among many other geniuses who changed the course of human history.
Arrival and visit with a local guide. We will have the opportunity to admire the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, with its unmistakable dome designed by Brunelleschi, the Baptistery with the famous Gates of Paradise, and the Church of Santa Croce — the Pantheon of the Greats of Italy, where names like Michelangelo and Galileo rest.
The visit continues through the elegant Piazza della Signoria and the famous Ponte Vecchio, the oldest and most emblematic bridge in Florence.
Accommodation at the 5 ⭐ hotel The Excelsior. Evening free.
Day 6: 19 May (Wednesday) - Florence / Chianti and San Gimignano / Florence
After breakfast, our first stop will be at the Piazzale Michelangelo viewpoint, which offers the most famous panoramic view of Florence — get your camera ready, as the photos from this place are frame-worthy.
Next, we head for a delightful day in the heart of Tuscany, through the Chianti region and San Gimignano, famous for its medieval towers.
Among hills covered with vineyards and olive trees, we will visit wineries in the region, with tasting and lunch included — a true immersion in the flavors and landscapes that have made Tuscany famous worldwide.
At the end of the experience, return to Florence. Evening free.
Day 7: 20 May (Thursday) - Florence / Pisa / Florence
After breakfast, departure for Pisa, which was the first economic and military power of Tuscany in the Middle Ages. On a pleasant walking tour, we cross the wall that still partially surrounds the city to learn about the Romanesque architecture of the time, with a very distinctive local expression.
Our destination — and a must-see attraction for anyone visiting the city — is the architectural ensemble of Piazza dei Miracoli, formed by the Cathedral, the Baptistery, and the world-famous Leaning Tower, where Galileo studied the laws of gravity.
Return to Florence. Evening free.
Day 8: 21 May (Friday) - Florence / Venice
After breakfast, departure towards Venice, one of the most fascinating and romantic cities in Italy, built on a lagoon formed by more than a hundred islands interconnected by bridges and canals.
Upon arrival, a special experience: we will board a private speedboat for a tour of the Venice Lagoon, passing by Lido Island, where the famous film festival takes place, the islands of Giudecca and San Giorgio Maggiore — where the famous architect Andrea Palladio built the church of the same name — and the islands of San Servolo and San Clemente, which in the past welcomed pilgrims returning from the Holy Land.
We will then disembark in Venice, "The Most Serene", where the wealth accumulated over centuries of prosperous commercial activity by its merchants allowed for the construction of astonishing monuments, such as the Bridge of Sighs, the Doge's Palace, and St. Mark's Square and Basilica, dominated by the towers of the Campanile and the Clock Tower, which has marked the rhythm of life in the city since the 15th century.
And a differentiator that makes all the difference: our hotel is in the heart of historic Venice — and not in Mestre, on the mainland. Here, you truly experience Venice, at any time of day.
Accommodation at the 5 ⭐ hotel Ca' di Dio, in the heart of historic Venice. Evening free.
Day 9: 22 May (Saturday) - Venice (Murano and Burano)
After breakfast, departure by private speedboat for a tour of the Venice Lagoon, visiting two of the city's most emblematic islands.
Murano stands out for its historical tradition linked to glass art, reflecting the artisanal knowledge that has marked Venetian identity over the centuries — it is fascinating to see up close the result of a craft passed down from generation to generation.
Burano, on the other hand, enchants with its picturesque environment, with its vibrantly colored houses reflected in the canals and its strong connection to local traditions and life in the lagoon. A scene that looks like a painting.
Return to the hotel. Evening free.
