Images from our trip to the Gastronomic Festival in the European Valley SC
Introduction
The European Valley is a region with a strong characteristic of German, Italian, Austrian, Polish, and Portuguese settlers, located in the Itajaí Valley, in the state of Santa Catarina. The region offers various attractions ranging from typical half-timbered architecture, flower-filled and well-kept streets, cuisine, and traditional festivals.
Many people are attracted by shopping tourism since the European Valley houses textile hubs, shoe manufacturers, and centers for selling crystals and porcelain. Elected the most German city in Brazil, Pomerode is a gem of the European Valley. For over a century, the municipality has preserved the cultural traits inherited from the settlers, most of whom came from Pomerania, a region in northern Germany.
The largest collection of half-timbered constructions in the country is found on the "Half-timbered Route," a tourist route that presents more than a hundred houses listed as historical heritage. During the month of July, the Municipal Events Park transforms to host the cozy Gastronomic Festival.
At the venue, the so-called “Gastronomic Village” is established, where the city's restaurants transfer their structures and unite in a single, richly decorated environment. Along with delicious cuisine, the Festival also features musical performances, art exhibitions, craft fairs, folkloric presentations, and much more!
In this complete itinerary, we will explore from the bustling city of Balneário Camboriú to the charming cities of the European Valley like Pomerode and Blumenau. Come with us!

The symbol of Unipraias Park is the 47 cable cars connecting three stations between the southern side of the Balneário Camboriú coastline, rising to Morro da Aguada and descending to Laranjeiras beach.
