Introduction
When winter arrives, the small São Joaquim makes headlines in newspapers across the country. At 1,353 meters above sea level, it records temperatures that can reach ten degrees below zero - along with the cold, snow usually comes, and with the little white flakes, tourists. To face the cold, bring gloves, scarves, and chat around the fireplace or wood stove.
Wine glasses are also welcome, as the city has numerous award-winning wineries both nationally and internationally. During guided tours at the wineries, the stages of wine production are explained, and there is a tasting of the beverages produced on-site.
Thanks to the climate, São Joaquim is also known as the producer of the best apple in Brazil. Just leave the center to see the large plantations of Fuji and Gala apples that dominate the landscape. São Joaquim is also a strategic point for visiting two more incredible cities: Urubici and Bom Jardim da Serra.
In 1996, Urubici recorded the lowest temperature in the country: 17.8 degrees below zero, at Morro da Igreja, 1,828 meters above sea level. The probability of snowing between June and August is high, attracting tourists from all over the country.
In Bom Jardim da Serra (known as the "Capital of Waters"), the breathtaking view is due to the Famous Serra do Rio do Rastro, considered the Most Beautiful Mountain Range in Brazil and one of the Most Spectacular Roads in the World!
NOTE 1: It is necessary to say that the occurrence of the meteorological phenomenon of snow, although possible, is a rare event. Therefore, we may be lucky enough to witness this phenomenon or not see any snow at all, thus exempting Rosanetur from the occurrence or non-occurrence of the phenomenon.
NOTE 2: In Urubici, access to Morro da Igreja is controlled by the Aeronautics. Our visit to the attraction depends on authorization, weather conditions, and the road leading to the viewpoint of Morro da Igreja. In case of necessary roadworks, adverse weather conditions (e.g., snow, ice formation on the road, extreme winds), or other factors that pose a risk to visitor safety, VISITATION MAY BE LIMITED OR INTERRUPTED WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE.
NOTE 3: To visualize all the beauty of the Mirante da Serra do Rio do Rastro, it is necessary for the weather to be completely clear, without fog. Depending on weather conditions and the highway, we will descend the mountain to a certain point where we will then return.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: August 11 (Tuesday) - Rio de Janeiro (Galeão)/ Florianópolis/ São Joaquim SC
Transfer from your residence (SEE RULES) to Galeão airport, at the time agreed upon by the Rosanetur team, heading to Florianópolis. Flight GOL 1982 (GIG/FLN 08h20-10h00). From the airport, we will continue by tourist bus to the coldest city in Brazil, São Joaquim, in the Serra Catarinense! Prepare your jackets, gloves, and scarves to enjoy the chilly weather of the mountains! Accommodation at São Joaquim Park Hotel, in the center of São Joaquim. Free afternoon. Dinner included.
Day 2: August 12 (Wednesday) - São Joaquim SC
After breakfast, we will depart for our tour in São Joaquim. We will start the day by visiting the Vinícola Villa Francione. The founder's dream, Dilor de Freitas, materialized in an admirable building.
The walls, built with remnants of ruins from houses in the region, and the stained glass windows, brought from Uruguay, protect a sustainable wine factory, some of which are award-winning. The guided tour begins with a video that tells the history of the place, continues with a tour of the property, and ends with a tasting class.
From there, we will head to Exponeve Artesanatos, a permanent fair of handicrafts and typical products from the region, maintained by the São Joaquim Artisan Association. There, it is possible to buy wool clothing, accessories such as gloves and hats, decorative objects, sweets and drinks, and much more.
After lunch, we will visit the Sanjo Cooperative store. Founded in 1993, the Sanjo Agricultural Cooperative of São Joaquim is one of the largest apple producers in Brazil. The factory store has juices, wines, and even apple sparkling wines available for purchase. Return to the hotel. Dinner included.
Day 3: August 13 (Thursday) - São Joaquim/ Bom Jardim da Serra/ Mirante Serra do Rio do Rastro/ São Joaquim
After breakfast, we will depart for our tour to the city of Bom Jardim da Serra. One of the most beautiful landscapes in Santa Catarina is located in this small town of just over four thousand inhabitants. It is the Serra do Rio do Rastro, cut by a winding road (SC-390) of 15 kilometers and sprinkled with viewpoints, leading to Lauro Muller. The altitude reaches 1,460 meters and, on clear days, reveals mountain ranges, valleys, and even the sea!
On our tour, we will start with a brief stop at the main square of the city, with the Church of Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro. From there, we will make a photo stop at the beautiful Cascata da Barrinha, near the portal of Bom Jardim da Serra.
Next, if the weather permits, we will witness the full grandeur of the Serra do Rio do Rastro from its viewpoint. Time for photos!
Depending on weather conditions and the highway, we will descend the mountain to a certain point where we will then return. Afterwards, we will visit Serra Park with a view of the breathtaking Cânion da Ronda. Return to the hotel at the end of the day. In the evening, we will celebrate the birthdays of the month. Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 4: August 14 (Friday) - São Joaquim/ Urubici/ São Joaquim SC
After breakfast, we will depart for our tour to Urubici, one of the most coveted destinations in the Serra Catarinense. In 1996, the city recorded the lowest temperature in the country: 17.8 degrees below zero, at Morro da Igreja, 1,828 meters above sea level. The probability of snowing between June and August is high, attracting tourists from all over the country.
In Urubici, we will make a quick stop in the center, visiting the Matriz Church of Nossa Senhora Mãe dos Homens and the main square of the city. From there, we will head to Morro da Igreja, with its famous holey stone. (The visit to Morro da Igreja depends on authorization from the competent authorities and may not be carried out).
We will also visit Gruta Nossa Sra de Lourdes, Cascata Véu da Noiva, and Morro do Avencal, with its beautiful waterfall. Return to the hotel at the end of the day. Lunch included. Free evening.
Day 5: August 15 (Saturday) - São Joaquim/ Florianópolis
After breakfast, we will continue our return trip to Florianópolis. Accommodation at Hotel Majestic (or similar) in Florianópolis. Free afternoon and evening.
Day 6: August 16 (Sunday) - Florianópolis/ Rio de Janeiro (Galeão)
Breakfast. At the agreed time, we will depart for the international airport of Florianópolis. Flight GOL 1985 (FLN/GIG 15h00 – 16h30). Excellent return to all! Until next time!

Withdrawals, Transfers and Cancellations by the client
The CONTRACTED PARTY shall refund the amount due to the Client, calculated on the total amount actually received by the Contractor, excluding the amount of commission withheld, which must be dealt with by the Travel Agent, as well as administrative fees and amounts already paid to suppliers.
in the event of any of the above occurring, the following administrative fees will be deducted from the total amount charged for the tour package, in the following proportion:
- When the withdrawal occurs 30 (thirty) days or more before the date of departure of the trip: 10% (ten percent)
- When the withdrawal occurs between 29 (twenty-nine) and 21 (twenty-one) days before the date of departure: 15% (fifteen percent)
- When the withdrawal occurs between 20 (twenty) and 01 (one) days before the date of departure: 30% (thirty percent)
- If the passenger does not show up at the time and place scheduled for the start of the trip, 35% (thirty-five percent) will be charged.
In addition to the fees and fines described above, the amounts already paid to suppliers to guarantee reservations, duly proven, will be deducted as expenses, since the Contractor is only an intermediary in the contracting of tourist services, being in temporary possession of the amounts received, because it depends on third parties for the effective execution of these services, such as air, sea and road transportation, as well as accommodation, reception, restaurants and other contracted services.
For both road and air tours, it is not permitted to transfer dates or refund unused sections.
Trip abandonment - Once the excursion has begun, passengers who abandon it for any reason will not be entitled to any refund for services paid for and not used.

We provide a courtesy home transfer service to the following neighborhoods in Niterói (not high risk areas): Centro and adjacencies, Icaraí, Boa Viagem, Ingá, Gragoatá, São Domingos, Ponta d'Areia, Fonseca, Ilha da Conceição, Barreto, São Lourenço, Santa Rosa, Vital Brasil, São Francisco, Charitas, Fátima, Cafubá, Santo Antônio, Piratininga, Camboinhas, Itaipu, Itacoatiara and Itaipuaçu. São Gonçalo residents
We provide a courtesy home pick-up service for the following neighborhoods in São Gonçalo (not high-risk areas): Centro and adjacencies, Galo Branco, Paraíso and Neves. For the other neighborhoods, the meeting point for the excursion will be Cine Icaraí (in Niterói)(SEE RULES BELOW)
Caxias residents
We provide a complimentary home pick-up service for the following neighborhoods in Caxias (not high-risk areas): Centro and adjacencies, Jardim 25 de Agosto. For the other neighborhoods, the meeting point for the excursion will be Gilson Pneus in Irajá.(SEE RULES BELOW)
Other Municipalities
Residents of other municipalities should contact us to find a suitable meeting point(see rules below)
IMPORTANT RULES OF THE TRANSFER SERVICE:
- The transfer service is a courtesy of Rosanetur. We reserve the right to refuse to carry out the service when it poses a risk to our staff, such as places that are difficult to access, places known to be dominated by drug trafficking or highly dangerous, among others.
- The transfer service is shared, i.e. other people will share the transportation with you.
- Changes to the passenger's address must be notified to our team at least 7 days before the date of the excursion. Sudden changes of address make it impossible to carry out the service because the entire driver roster has already been organized.
- On our road trips, transfers are made both on the outward and return journeys. On air tours, only the outward transfer is made.
- We inform you of the time and driver of the transfer three days in advance of the trip.

Boarding
The CONTRACTING PARTY/PASSENGER is aware that he/she must comply with all the timetables that have been informed to him/her, and is responsible for any delays and their consequences. They must present themselves for boarding carrying their original personal documents with photo, and identify themselves to the ROSANETUR representative who will be present at the time.
Documentation
For national trips using air and/or road transportation, it is necessary to present an original identification document in good condition (any of the following: Identity Card; National Passport; National Driver's License (model with photograph); Professional Cards issued by National Councils (models with photograph); Work Permit). If the passenger does not present the aforementioned documentation, or if it is illegible and/or erased, they will not be allowed to board.
Boarding of Minors: To board national flights, minors under the age of 16 (incomplete) (Law No. 13.812/2019) must be accompanied by a parent or grandparent, or guardian, or a sibling or uncle over the age of 18, always providing documentary proof of the degree of kinship (via the minor's Original Birth Certificate or Authenticated Copy). In the event that you are accompanied by an adult without the degree of kinship described above, you will need written authorization, notarized, from the father, mother or guardian. However, if you are unaccompanied, you will need judicial authorization from the Child and Youth Court, all in accordance with articles 83 to 85 of the Statute of the Child and Adolescent - Law No. 8,069/90. Passengers can obtain more information about the necessary documentation from the Federal Police (www.dpf.gov.br).
Important: Birth certificates for children over 12 will not be accepted. In cases of theft, robbery or loss of the identification document, a police report issued less than 60 days previously is valid.
Accommodation for Minors: For accommodation for children (12 years old or younger) or adolescents (18 years old or younger), they must be accompanied by the person mentioned in the paragraph above, unless they have been expressly AUTHORIZED to stay by their parents or guardian, in writing and with a notarized signature, all in accordance with article 82 of the Statute of the Child and Adolescent - Law No. 8.069/90.
